Junior Development Tour program

The Junior Development Club & Tour programs are designed for players looking to push their limits and advance their game respective to their given level. Players are encouraged to participate in the NRRC Junior Tour to experience competitive match type play.

Participation is by invitation or evaluation only.

In this program, players are controlling the court by directing the ball to open spaces, as well as becoming more efficient with side to side movement. In addition, they are implementing their serve to start the points.  

Red Ball Tour is for those who have progressed from Red Ball Club. Engaging partner activities and games are designed to build a player’s foundation in all strokes and continue to develop athletic skills for tennis. Use of red balls on a 36 ft court. Participation is by invitation or evaluation only.

Players registered in our Red Ball Tour program, we encourage them to register and participate in the NRRC Junior Tour Series! Players are placed on teams for the session and compete in fun, team activities and are introduced to match play.

This is a great opportunity to enjoy tennis as part of TEAM! The program includes a Junior Training Tour shirt, awards, and an end-of-season party.  This program requires that the player also participates in a full session of Red Ball Tour.

Players registered in our Orange Ball Tour program, we encourage them to register and participate in the NRRC Junior Tour! Players are placed on teams for the session and compete in fun, weekly team activities and are introduced to match play. This is a great opportunity to enjoy tennis as part of TEAM! The program includes a Junior Training Tour shirt, awards, and an end-of-season party.  This program requires that the player also participates in a full session Orange Ball Tour.

  • Based on skill level and not age; player age range is recommended as 7-10 yrs
  • For players who have progressed through the Orange Ball pathway.  Orange Ball Tour training is used to ensure players fully develop the strategies, skills, tactics and athletic development needed to grow into a performance playerThis program requires commitment and patience from players, coaches, and parents. Players in this program demonstrate coachability, effort, and sportsmanship in both practice and competition. 
  • Participation suggestion: 2 training days per week.
  • Racquet size: 25-26 inches.

Players are placed on teams for the session and compete in fun, weekly team activities and are introduced to match play. This is a great opportunity to enjoy tennis as part of TEAM!
