New Rochelle Racquet Club Named a 2026 USTA Outstanding Facility
We are proud to announce that the New Rochelle Racquet Club has been named a 2026 USTA Outstanding Facility Award Winner joining just 41 tennis facilities nationwide recognized by the United States Tennis Association this year.
This award recognizes noteworthy tennis facilities across the country. They take into consideration many factors: the quality of the courts, club amenities, the overall facility experience and the businesses dedication and commitment to growing the sport of tennis within their local and regional communities.
This award means even more as we celebrate more than 50 years of serving the New Rochelle and Westchester Tennis community. (read story)

Recognizing Our Facility
There is a lot to evaluate in consideration of this award that extend far beyond the appearance of the facility. Facilities are considered on a variety of criteria not limited to court surfaces and lighting, layout, maintenance, viewing lounge area, amenities, overall aesthetics and participation in local tennis programs.
Theodore Loehrke, Managing Directory and Head of Section Partnerships for the USTA highlighted the important role facilities like NRRC play in the sport:
“Facilities like The New Rochelle Racquet Club are the foundation of tennis in America. Their commitment to creating welcoming, inclusive opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to experience the sport exemplifies what it means to grow the game at the grassroots level.”
It’s worth to mention NRRC was selected as one of the awards recipients in the Small Private Facilities category for facilities with two to eleven courts.
The 2026 Outstanding Facility Award recipients were honored during a special reception at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center as part of the 2026 US Open.
For a club that has spent more than 50 years introducing people to tennis and building a local tennis community, being recognized on one of the sport’s biggest stages was a special moment in NRRC’s history.
We share this award with everyone who is a part of the NRRC tennis community because its all of you that have made the club special.

We Share This Award With Our Community
For more than five decades, New Rochelle Racquet Club has been shaped by the players, families, coaches and staff who have called it home. It been incredible to see multiple generations share the court with their kids, grand kids, friends, and family. It includes every junior player taking their first lesson or class to the competitive player training for their next tournament.
Receiving the USTA Outstanding Facility Award is an incredible honor, and we’re grateful to everyone who has been part of NRRC’s story.
As we look toward to whats to come, our goal remains much the same as it was when the club opened in 1974: provide a welcoming place where people can learn, play, compete and develop a lifelong love of tennis.
To everyone who has been part of the NRRC Community for 50+ years; Thank you. We can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings!
