Intro to Outdoor Lead Climbing introduces the experienced indoor leader to the particulars of leading and cleaning bolted sport climbs outdoors. We cover the industry standard methods for cleaning ring and chain anchors, as are often used as anchors for sport climbs.

Qualifications: Participants must be TRC lead certified. Some outdoor sport climbing experience is helpful. Students with more experience coming into the class will also be able to take more away from the class.

This class does not necessarily ready the student to lead climb and clean anchors outside. Each climbing area presents unique challenges with many other anchor situations. There is no substitute for professional outdoor instruction, local knowledge and good judgment.
    SLACKLINING 101
    Level: Beginner to intermediate
    Times:
1st and 3rd Sunday of the month from 6-8 pm
Slacklining 101 is our program to help beginners get over the fear of stepping on the line. Slacklining takes balance and focus to a whole new level. The goals of this program are to eliminate the initial fear of slacklining, learn how to kneel, sit and eventually stand on the line. It’s great for climbers and anyone interested in a higher sense of body awareness and positioning. If you’ve never stepped on a slackline or you’re working on getting all the way across the line, our 101 program will help you achieve your goals

Note: We are offering the 101 program as a one or two part series. We highly recommend you come in and train on the slackline to get the most out of the second class.
    SLACKLINING 201
    Level: Intermediate to advanced
    Times:
2nd and 4th Sunday of the month from 6-8 pm
Slacklining 201 is the next installment of our Slackline series. This program touches on tricklining. This is when the athlete attempts different jumps, spins, transitions and positions on the line. If you are capable of walking all the way across the line, this is a great next step. Goals of the Slackline 201 program are to walk across, walk backwards, turn, bounce, jump, lie down, sit start, and more.

Note: We are offering the 201 program as a one or two part series. We highly recommend you coming in and train on the slackline to get the most out of the second class.
